Applied Skills Fellowship

About

A fellowship for students who want a fair leg-up into work.

University teaches your subject. Employers still ask: can you communicate, show up, finish things, and learn fast? Applied Skills Fellowship is built to close that gap — with a full library of free lessons on this site and a Micro-Internship pathway with real businesses.

Who it is for

Primary audience: undergraduates (especially around second year) with limited formal experience who want practical skills and clearer direction — not shortcuts.

A good fit if…

  • You want structure and feedback, not another vague tips feed.
  • You are willing to practise — quizzes, outreach, real conversations.
  • You care about employability skills that travel across industries.

Prefer something else if…

  • You mainly want quick wins instead of steady skill-building.
  • You do not want to engage with lessons, quizzes, or community.

How the pathway works

The Micro-Internship is a separate, no-cost programme: mentoring, skills building, and project work with real businesses (about 100 hours). You apply when rounds open — it is not a guarantee for every member, and a place can never be bought.

Built as its own brand

Applied Skills Fellowship stands on its own. It is run with support from Consultico, and certification for completed pathway work sits with that parent brand — but this site is the home of the fellowship.
